CONFUSED AGAIN...

i printed the list from atkins on all the food we can eat in phase 1 but when i went to their recipes i see some things on there-chocolate slushies which have stuff that isnt on the list. how do i know i can eat other stuff besides looking on the site? because bread could be under the carbs but i know we cant eat that.

congrats laura! if you follow the induction diet you should lose up to 15 pounds in 2 weeks. I didnt follow it exactly and lost less.
you want chocolate? look at their snack bars - most of them are choc. just watch the net carb count on the front of the pkg. try to stay with 1 or 2 carbs ones.
as for the recipes, most of them are for the later phases not phase 1. phase 1 is the "cold turkey" phase lol = get your body used to burning instead of storing the carbs.

oh i forgot- are you sure the recipes arent for 1 because if you go to the site and under recipes you can choose by phase. it has phase one.

lol i never looked at those! only cuz of the limited choices of foods available i figured what could they come up with??
i am going for 45-50 carbs a day right now and starting to add some walking on the treadmill. gonna see how much that affects the weight loss. can always go back to the 20 a day to loose a few extra also.

there is one soy milk that tastes so good. its in a blue carton...if i saw it i would know what it is but normally they only taste good in something whereas this one i could tolerate. it was tasty.

When I worked at Starbucks, the Low Carb people always got their drinks made with Heavy Cream. 1TB only has .42carbs, try that in your coffee.

thanx patty! i had switched from coffeemate vanilla to half and half and then got the almond milk so i could have milk - i used to drink 3-4 glasses of non fat every day - but this stuff is nasty on its own. i can't stand soy milk either lol gonna have to figure out what to stop eating so i can have my milk! thanks everyone!

hate to say #1 i accidentally cheated and #2 i purposefully cheated

#1 i ate a nibble of a tostada and after swallowed i realized ohhhh shoot! habit i guess.
i was making for my parents
THEN #2 my mom bought my brothers doughnut holes and if you know me they are my weakness!!! sooo i went 1 day w/o and today i gave in and had 1. it was 15g for 9 pieces so it wasnt a huge cheat but i did cheat.
