Mark & Brian from KLOS radio & RED CROSS are hosting their 29th annual blood drive @ 20 locations in SoCal from Tues. 7/27 - Sat. 7/31/10. A Red Cross rep has said this annual event is the single biggest blood drive in the country and you will be part of a Guiness World Record if last year's 28th annual drive record of 9,664 units of blood drawn is broken.

In addition to the complimentary snacks and liquids given after blood donation, you WILL receive a KLOS/Red Cross t-shirt in the mail (white & nice looking). Also, if you are one of the first to donate blood* you will have the opportunity to receive a voucher for 1 FREE ticket to see one of these 3 concerts:

· OzzFest @ the San Manuel Amphitheatre on Sat. 8/14/10,
· Meatloaf @ the Gibson Amphitheatre on Thu 8/12/10,
· Lynyrd Skynyrd @ the Gibson Amphitheatre on Thu 8/26/10

*while supply lasts for each concert ticket (I think making appt ensures opportunity to receive a ticket to at least one concert, but OzzFest tickets will probably go fast)

You may drop in to donate blood at any time during the hours listed for your specific office, but donors with appointments will be given first priority (and for ticket voucher also, I think). Saturday & weekday eves (if applicable for your office) will be busiest times & you should make appt instead of dropping in.

For everything listed below:
You must specify (especially if online appt or calling for appt) that you are donating for the "KLOS blood drive" to be certain to receive t-shirt and ticket voucher. I think ticket voucher is given to you on the spot after donation.

You will go thru a semi-intensive and personal screening process;

You cannot donate blood if: Donated less than 56 days prior, have hiv or got a tattoo less than 1 yr ago.

Volunteer personel may offer you to fill out a Rock-n-Donor card. This is optional & it does NOT affect you receiving the t-shirt or concert ticket. It is only to notify you of future blood drives. I have never received any junk mail. I filled one out (w/o e-addy), was notified via mail of a blood drive 3 months later and received a different t-shirt and a coupon for a free Coldstone ice cream (unexpected).
