Dog Health News Alert

Although
no H1N1 cases have yet been documented in dogs, we wanted to alert you
that the American Veterinary Medical Association has just
confirmed the first reported case of the H1N1 flu virus in a cat.

I also saw the news report on AP news and CNN. Seems the poor kitty got it from his/her owners who were sick.
They stated there is no vaccine for the animals and the only thing to do is watch for signs of lethargy and contact your vet.

the report from AP seemed to suggest the cat died, but it could be that they didn't get it to the vet in time. i had 2 cats who got an upper respiratory infection once. the vet told me to treat them like i treat myself... so i made them chicken soup and turned on the humidifier - the one cat love that! all that nice warm steam and of course they loved the chicken soup lol

Oh no! *throws cats in sealed panic room*

Seriously though, my cats are like my babies so H1N1 needs to stay the hell away from them.
