So what are they saying and doing about this where you live? Are you concerned at all?..For me i am scared as heck for my son.I asked his specialist Friday and all he said is they dont give out vaccination there Swine Flu 354146 I was hoping for more info like should i be worried for my son and if he can put Mike on some kind of list.I did hear on Fox news that some kids who are dying from this are ones that have problems already and they said epilepsy for one Swine Flu 889413 .Even though Mike and i are in house 24/7 it would be my husband who could possibly bring this home.He is inside peoples homes everyday Swine Flu 854262 Thank God he is good about washing hands all the time.I just thought i would get others thoughts on this in cyber land.

I am scared to death of this. Sydney(four year old) has asthma, and when she gets sick, she gets really sick. She's had respiratory problems since she was about eight months old Swine Flu 152789 I have to talk to her doc still to see if they have the vaccine. I know she gets a regular flu and pneumonia shot every year. She was hospitalized for pneumonia a few years ago, and that was scary as all heck.

Plus with Christian (two) and the baby (11 months), plus me being pregnant. AHHH!! So scary. Sky(nine) has only been sick once in the past year, and it was a cold. But I did hear that the older kids are the ones getting the worst of it and some even dying. Swine Flu 412618

I have no kids to worry about. Thank God!! I'm a lil worried but I can't live my life in fear.I am just going to avoid really busy areas like amusement parks and schools. I'll carry extra wipe samples and purell. I do most of my grocery shopping late late in the night anyway so I always avoid those crowds. I work at home and so does my sig other, we meet people by appointment only so we don't have to deal with too many people anyway.

I am worried for people with pre-existing problems, children and elderly. My mom works in a hospital so she is exposed to everything...so I worry for her but she doesn't seem to worry. I do have an Uncle with HIV....he had to miss my brothers wedding because of the fact he had to get on a plane. It was a week after the VP announced to stay off of planes and trains or contained areas. It was to bad...so I do worry for him...everyday. He's my favorite uncle.

i don't know much about Michigan, one of the few states I have never been to. but my mother met a man on the internet about 7 years ago and went off and married him, happily ever after and all that!!! I was telling her how un-cool that was to marry someone you just meet on the internet, then she told me he used to be a drummer for Bob segar, so I said..."Okay, it's cool!"

ahhh flu season - another good reason to be unemployed! LOL i gotta find the pluses where ever i can.
i have had the flu twice - once was the london flu and the last one was the asian flu - that one knocked me down for almost 3 weeks.
i just try and stay healthy and boost my immune system with ecchinacea and vitamin C. i am allergic to almost every known antibiotic so i can't afford to get sick. i used to go home "well" if the sick people at work wouldn't go home.

I don't like those neighbors. They sell the drugsSwine Flu 315687 I am getting a live trap today so we can catch it and take it to the woods and let him go. I don't want the poor thing harmed, and it's illegal to have a pet raccoon here. Bad bad neighbors

Yeah, well, maybe if they wanted an illegal pet raccoon, they should have taken better care of him so he wouldn't have gotten out then, huh! Well, I hope you have better luck getting rid of him today! keep us informed!

I hope he's capable of taking care of himself out in the wild. If he was hand raised he may not know how to defend himself or forage for food.

Which is prolly why he's begging at your door. It still doesn't make him any less dangerous.
