I received 2 packs of Nutrition First Brownie Mix for this review. I was excited to try these delicious looking treats. Nutrition First Brownie Mix is a complete all-natural mix for the preparation of indulgent high fiber, reduced sugar brownies. Using only the very best ingredients and rich dark cocoa we have created a unique and scrumptious brownie that provides 7 grams of fiber per serving, with only 100 calories and 5 grams of fat!! This nutritious and decadent brownie mix makes a great dessert or midday snack!

I was surprised to learn that these brownies boast of no trans fats and only have 5 grams of sugar per serving. Compare that to 15 grams per serving of the leading national brand! They have several serving and preparation suggestions included on the bag. The mix also requires common items from your pantry so you can prepare them easily. If you are looking for a healthier alternative, these are perfect. These little guys are very dense, sturdy brownies and would hold up well in a packed lunch or for a picnic. I have a feeling that the brownie drops featured on the backside of the pouch would turn out like a thick cookie. Overall, I was impressed with the brownies mainly because me and my family got a serving of fiber in a fun and yummy way.

Death by Chocolate Trifle (Great to serve as dessert after your summer BBQ!)
1 package Nutrition First Brownie mix made according to the instructions on package and cut into pieces
2 boxes sugar free chocolate mousse (prepared)
1 large tub low fat whip
2-3 Heath toffee bars broken into small pieces (or chocolate bar pieces of your choice!)

Procedure:

In a large bowl layer brownies, then mousse, then whip, sprinkle with toffee bits, and continue to layer until out of ingredients.
