Our story is simple. We fell in love.

Once upon a time—say, 1991—our founder was feeling a little lost, existentially speaking. So she took a break from her everyday and headed for the Himalayas in search of, well, who knows what. (Inspiration, maybe?)

While she was there, she met a man. Whoa, hit the mental brakes there, people! Because here's where the story takes a left turn.

You see, she didn't fall in love with the man. She fell in love with the rich, creamy, spiced tea he was selling. With CHAI. And all it took was one sip.

So she came home and dedicated herself to re-creating and reperfecting this drink of all drinks. Before long, traditional chai's American cousin, Oregon Chai, was born.

Today, Oregon Chai is part of the Kerry, Inc. family. And as the first to bring authentic chai to the United States, we now spend our "everydays" striving to remain true to our Oregonian roots while serving up Me Time wherever, whenever we can.

So why Me Time? Well, we like to think sharing these daily moments of peace and tranquility is good karma. Not in the sense of "next lives" or anything. But rather, our day-to-day take on this life. Because if you really do get what you give—and we give chai—then that's one tasty deal.

Naturally, only the finest ingredients will do.
That's why at Oregon Chai, we use organic and natural ingredients in all our products. In fact, most of Oregon Chai's 32-oz. concentrates are over 90% organic—perhaps you noticed the USDA Organic seal.

The one concentrate that's not organic and all-natural is our Sugar-Free Original. It's made with Splenda. But that's actually a good thing for people with diabetes, carb counters and anyone looking to remove sugar from their diet. So all's well.

The Review
I have tried the following three varieties of Chai and I love them all!!

But The Original Chai Tea Latte Concentrate is by far my favorite. I like it hot or cold over ice. It is equally yummy either way. The combination of spices and honey are perfect. Every time I go to Wal-Mart I buy every carton on the shelf. My husbands just shakes his head at me.

The Vanilla Chai Tea Latte Concentrate had a rich creamy vanilla flavor with tones of the lovely chai spices. If you love vanilla, you are going to love this variety.

The Matcha Green Tea Chai Tea Latte Concentrate is a lighter version with all the benefits of green tea, spices and hints of almond. It has less caffeine then the others so is perfect for any time of day.

The Original Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
This is where it all started. Where creation evolved to a higher plane. Where the sweet and spicy blend of black tea, honey, vanilla bean and spices brought perfection to your world. Experience nirvana after every cup - morning, noon or night. An Original Chai tea Latte has approximately 30-35 mg of caffeine per serving (same as a lightly brewed cup of black tea).

Vanilla Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
Unlike those with so much to prove, vanilla oozes confidence. She leaves her plain-Jane rep at the door and sashays in to the eye-popping, jaw-dropping, heart-stopping gasps of her adoring fans. We start with a delightful double dollop of pure vanilla and blend it generously with black tea, honey and our exotic chai spices for a delicious chai treat.

Matcha Green Tea Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
If you're a mouse you already know about all those studies that hint at the incredible benefits of green tea. So you're probably downing Matcha Green Tea by the thimble-full, and not just for its exotic spices and almond lusciousness either.


They also have Oregon Chai Tea Mixes.
Just add 8 oz. of hot water to the contents of a dry mix packet and enjoy a cup of Oregon Chai Tea wherever you are. Another option? Mix two tablespoons from the Oregon Chai canister with 6 to 8 oz. of hot water—whatever you prefer. Either way, feel free to add a little milk or soy if you're in the mood for a creamier experience, or add ice if you like your chai cold.

Our chai tea mixes are all-natural and free of preservatives or additives. Choose from dry mix packets in The Original, Slightly Sweet, Vanilla or Sugar-Free flavors, or enjoy a more customizable experience of The Original from our 10-oz. canister.
