Today is NOT my day...

I am putting down that 2/11/11 is officially my "Go to bed and wake up tomorrow" day. I have been having severe knee pain for the past 3 weeks and falling last week (on the ice) didn't help so I finally bit the bullet and went to the hospital. The mean lady in the ER (she was nasty to me) sent me to a community clinic which meant a 4+ hour wait. I patiently waited and after the x-ray (which I knew wouldn't find anything because it's under my knee cap that hurts), I got sent to see the "doctor" which was really a nurse praction. After she pushed on my knee and I winced through the whole thing she said "Your x-rays look fine, your knee isn't soft....you need to lose weight" REALLY?!?! My knee hurts because I need to lose weight? I don't think so. She didn't give me anything and didn't tell me anything else, just turned and left.

We got home and are sitting around watching Paula Deen when there is a knock on the door. The bed that wasn't supposed to be delivered until Tuesday showed up today which was GREAT. The guy asked to see my receipt, which was in the car, so I went out to get it and slipped on some ice...went down on both knees and my ankle twisted into a funny position. I just sat there thinking "I just spend my day in the worst hospital in America and I'm not going back." I managed to get to my car and get the receipt, but now my knees are skinned, my hand has a hole in it from a rock, my ankle is the size of a balloon and my shin cusses me when I walk...oh and the bad knee is still bad because I'm fat .

After an hour I heard "Oh crap" from Angelica...our upstairs toilet overflowed and the bathroom was covered in water. To top that off, it leaked down the wall into the downstairs bathroom and our apt complex won't send workers over the weekend! I'm going to bed and staying there until Monday!

On a positive note: Angelica had a follow up with her Dr today and she was able to see the big E on his chart! That is a positive sign because he said he was expecting that 3 months down the road, not the day after the surgery!!! I'm so happy for her.

Oh dear, what a day! at least you got the new bed to sleep in til Monday.

be glad today ends and tomorrow starts anew! Glad angelica is improving so well!!! Now relax and enjoy the comfy new bed!

Thanks for your kinds words everyone. Today has been better. Am still hurting, but I haven't fallen I will be going to the Dr (or another hospital) most likely Tuesday...I'm going to beat them to the punch and say "I know I'm overweight now tell me what's wrong with my knee."
