Re: Listia
Same here Patty! Lot's of stocking stuffers and little add on type gifts for people thru Listia. I always start early as I hate shopping during the holidays and it also makes it much easier on the pocket book spreading it out over months.
Congrats on the jump rope score!

Re: Listia
I came across Patty today on Listia by accident so I became a fan.
Ocean & Flame.....check your accounts, I believe I found both of you as well. I became a fan....you'll know me by my avatar. Let me know.
Anyone else on there?....let me know and I'll become a fan. Never know, I might bid on something as well.

Awesome, thanks!!! My pop tart code ends in 2-ish hours, I hope it goes up like the others did.

Re: Listia
Patty, you have 3 fans besides me.....looking at them I thought 1 was Ocean and 1 was Flame possibly. Maybe I thought wrong.
Thanks for fanning me...that sounds a little strange doesn't it. Coupons for free items are a big hit and stamps (especially forever stamps). Take a look at my feedback and you'll be able to see what I've put on there and how much it went for. Gift cards for Walmart, McDonalds, Starbucks are big hits as well. I haven't done any of those yet. Coke codes are big too.

Re: Listia
I have an un opened box of condoms Im going to put up. Those go for a lot on there. I saw 2 go for over 100 the other day and a box went for over 1000. So since we have no use for them (hubbys fixed) Im going to put them on.
All I've done in pop tart codes. My last one just ended about an hour ago. I hate it when they dont send you a message right away. It would be different if they werent a last minute bidder. But this one was. Its like really? You were right there.
I was thinking about a $5 Walmart card, but the last couple of days I've seen a few sell for less than 300. So that kinda scares me. I want mine to go up to like 1000

I tweeted your pop tart code for you. I was thinking I can keep tweeting your lists. Maybe it will help get more views. I have auctions that end soon and I'm hoping it's pretty easy to pay people and get paid....credits. I'm just unsure how to go about doing it.

Re: Listia
Oh yeah, condoms go for big points. I don't know how many are in your box but you may be better off spliting up the box and posting 2 at a time. You might get more points that way. If you do split it my advice would be to only do the one auction at a time. When one ends, post the next set of 2. If people see more than 1 auction at a time for the same item they are less inclined to bid like crazy on the current one because they think they can get it for less on the other auctions. Not trying to tell you what to do....just letting you know what I notice on there.
Those silly bandz are popular as well. The knock off brands such as googly bands etc don't go for as much but still a lot in my eyes.

Re: Listia
Flame....it's very easy. If you have any questions let me know. I'll be happy to help out. You are a newbie on there so you won't get your credits right away, there's a waiting period. You have to earn your sellers wings first. I know, sounds goofy. You may have read rules about it. If not, let me know. Patty had the same question and I did as well when I first started.
Ocean....if you don't know how to fan someone then that wasn't you on Patty's fan list. PM me your Listia screen name and I'll become your fan and then send you a PM on how to do it. Super easy to do. Just a few clicks.

If anyone wants my blocked user list, let me know. I have 8 people blocked which means they can't bid or comment on my auctions, or contact me thru Listia. Some of these people I personally had a bad experience with, others are some that I came across that I want nothing to do with.

Re: Listia
A hint on listing auctions and getting credits for them...
For every auction you list free shipping you get 15 credits free. For every auction you list 1 picture for you get 5 credits free. Hence, you can get 20 free credits per auction whether you get any bids or not. You get these credits right away when you list the auction.
Note: this is valid for 3 auctions per day (24 hr period) so you can get 60 free credits a day. This runs on a 24 hr period. For instance, if I list 3 auctions at 1 p.m. today and get my 60 free credits, I can't get more free credits for listing until after 1 p.m. tomorrow. You can still list as many auctions as you want per day but you won't get any free credits after the 3 per day.
I rack up a lot of points by listing no more than 3 in a 24 hr period.
If you can't remember what time you last listed an auction and want to see if you can get the 20 pts for listing an auction, click on "list item", on the right hand side there will be 2 boxes shaded in yellow about the 15 pts & the 5 pts. If those boxes aren't there, you won't get the pts.
Hope all of this helps some of you.

Re: Listia
Thanks for the info. I think I read before I have to wait 10 day until I get my points. I totally understand though.

Re: Listia
10 days at the latest or when your buyer marks the auction "got it" which if you ship right away is always before the 10 day waiting period. I was lucky and had buyers that marked "got it" right away when they rec'd the item.

Re: Listia
I took your advice Jill and split my condoms. It was a box of 12 and I figured it would also be way cheaper to ship them both seperately than 1 box since the box was so big.

Re: Listia
Listia featured one of my auctions! Featured auctions are ones that you see on the main page towards the right hand side. It's a slide show of different auctions. Or you can click the "featured auctions" button to see them. They featured the counting jump rope that I received last week.

Re: Listia
FYI.....Prepaid credit cards (or money gift cards) from American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa are no longer allowed to list on Listia. Current auctions are allowed to finish out but no new ones. Restaurant/store gift cards such as Walmart, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc. are still allowed.
