They gather data for companies on what people buy. You get a few surveys a year also. You scan your purchases with a scanner they send you. It plugs into your home phone jack and transmits in the middle of the night. You get points for scanning each week and for the surveys. You then turn the points into cash via debit card (you keep adding to the same debit card). You are also enered into various drawings for cash and prizes.
I have been doing this for over 20 years now and have won several $15 & $20 drawings. It is not a big money maker, but i like having the few dollars on the debit card to buy stuff for myself. Last year I had a total of $200 put on my card. It comes in handy to use for those freebies that want a couple of bucks for shipping & handling.
