Free apples in Tri-cities, WA- 11/21/09

Apparently there are ACRES of these Free apples. They are Braeburns & Granny Smith Variety. U-Pick, and bring your own boxes. Fill up your pickup truck if you want!
When: This Saturday… November 21… at 12:00 Noon

Where: Meet at the south-west corner of the parking lot of the Fairchild Movie Complex in Pasco. Located east of Road 68, east of Yokes. (I don’t know the name of the street) Kind of like behind Yokes. Just look for the Movie complex.

Our guide will take us out to the orchard… leaving the parking lot at 12:15 pm.

RULES… Absolutely NO ladders or stepping stools (They won’t be needed anyway.)… Bring your own boxes and people to pick.

when i lived in bellevue there were apple trees all over the apt. complex and we always had free apples.

so now that i am back in socal, i grow my own lemons and tangerines along with lots of other veggies and herbs.

Dang it man!!! WHHHYYYYY!!!!! I live nowhere near there man. I always have to go to Walmart to buy my apples and they aren't cheap either. My husband loves them. And so do I and my daughter. I cook a special thing in the microwave with them. Smells up the whole house like an apple pie. But apple pie is fatting so I do my own special little thing I kinda invented. Love it.

Wish I can pick apples for free like that. I can only imagine how many people do all kinds of things with those apples. Like baked apple pies, fillings for pasteries, eat them raw, put some in a fruit salad, mash them and make homemade applesause. The list is endless. Wow. I would give them to neighbors and friends and even go by the hospitals and give them out to over worked staff at night there. That would cheer up there evening.

when I lived in Mexico I had lime trees, orange trees, a banana, pomegranate trees (5 of them) a guyava, olives, and dates.....wht a paradise on earth that was...oh, and I also put in plants in a garden type thing, chillies, peppers and tomatoes!
