Did any one get the last set of free books from random house?

They were from random house right? I love books and I signed up for this anyway.

I found the other link and they were from random house.

the copy i got said it was a unedited galley copy and the book is due out in feb 2010. it has a paperback cover though it is the size of a hardback and the paperstock is rough. like a demo copy.

Then that must be from the previous set that random house had out. That was posted on here a few months ago. There is still hope.

i don't think it was the title that i had requested, so maybe they just send out ones they have extras of. no matter, i finally got a free book that i didn't have to download!

That is so sweet. I like reading new books and then reading them again when they come out to see if there is any changes.

What you described Jersma is called a "galley" copy since it was produced to be distributed before publication. It is usually produced using the cheapest materials possible, but hey....books are , don't matter what they are made of. But they are usually made in the same size and shape of a hardbound, only they are softbound. Not to be confused with the "trade" copy, which is made with better quality materials than regular paperbacks, but of the same size and shape as the hard bounds...these are produced AFTER the book has been distributed in hardbound form.
Yeah, I am a bit of a book worm. i think I have somewhere between 500-1000 books. i have yet to actually count them though...i may be surprised!
Well, I own in excess of 30 different versions of the Bible, including Greek and Hebrew translations!

Hopefully these will come.

Thanks....I am one of these people who can't just take one answer for anything. i mean, if I hear a bit of a rumor about anything I have to verify it three different ways before I believe it. So when I started studying the Bible, I needed to CONFIRM everything I read was actually what it said...I mean there are so many different versions of the Bible, it is hard to make heads or tails of what you are reading sometimes.
But that is where I find my little slice of peace in this chaotic world.
