HOW MANY OF YOU ARE GOING TO SHOP DAY AFTER T-DAY?

JUST CURIOUS!
I WILL BE AT WORK TIL 7AM BUT AFTER THAT IM GOING SHOPPING! I FIGURE IT WILL BE PRETTY RELAXED BY THEN TOO.

no way in are you going to get me into a store on that day EVER!!!

Heck no!!! Not me.....I don't even go to the grocery store untill late late at night on weekdays just because I can't handle all the other people around me. Crowds are not my friend at all.

WHAT! i cant believe you guys!!! deals DEALS and im talking great deals are involved!!!!! last year i got 500 thread count sheets for $20!!! nice 16x30 (or so) collage frames for $5 each!!!!
movies GOOD ones for like $4 each!!!! missing out! you know you can get some of those deals online too right?

yeah, and there are even better deals to be had the day AFTER Christmas!!!

i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it works out for our family anyway because two of us are in law enforcement and holidays off comes sparingly and one is in OR. We just have christmas whenever the family can all be together, which ends up being right around the first or 2nd week of january.

one year we actually had xmas on xmas!!!! first time in about 10 years.

I doubt the kids will get much this year.I just hope I can afford a couple of gifts for them.I don't want them thinking I didn't care about them.but with living on disablity it doesn't leave much to do a christmas for them.

i used to this. Hit the stores at 5am grab a few things and then head off to work. This year with no job i will sleep in!
also i heard that a lot of stores will be having their sales online so you don't even need to get dressed and get mobbed by rude people and their sick little kids!

online sales are huge.....Black Monday!!!

sherry, last year at walmart they had a huge bag of mega legos(not sure how old your kids are) for only $10. my brothers loooove theirs.

Just a heads up, most of the games Walmart is lowering to $10, are $9 right now at Target. It was in this mornings add. I dont have a Target, so I will not be able to get them for $9.

Also, the "printable coupons" (smartsource and the other) right now have some really good $$ off toy coupons. I printed out 5 of them this morning.

I will be going but I won't spend a dime! We have FREE Christmas at my House! Last year was the first year we did it and everyone had a blast and with money being tight we will continue to do it. All present have to have been gotten for free! So I save most of my freebies for Christmas. All t-shirts, hats, make-up, tote bags, any IWG prizes, etc etc. Everyone is so impressed with what I get for FREE! The day after Thanksgiving I will take all my gift cards and survey money that I have saved up and go shopping for things I need that I did not get for Free like kids toys etc. I have friends and other family doing the same thing because it is so neat and saves sooooo much money!

When I wa younger I only gave out presents I had made....Not enough time on my hands anymore, but then it sure made things more special.

cin, i absolutely looooooove this idea! i wish our family would do it but i am the only one who does freebie stuff! my dad does sometimes but its a constant reminder so i am not going to force someone to get good stuff for free. my sisters, etc only do it if i email them and its really good.

what if we do a christmas swap in here (with certain guidlines) and what ever the gift is you swap has to be free (just s&H of course)??? you think people would like this idea?

And Laura just because your family won't do it doesn't mean you can't! You just say I'm having FREE CHRISTMAS! So all my Gifts are FREE! I did that last year with some and they were so surprised at what i got for Free that is why they are now joining in!!!! Some people just still do not have the time though and that is okay too!

well whether i wanted to or not... this is a free christmas year! last year i went "green" so this year i am taking the free approach. besides, who can't be excited about opening a reuseable shopping tote bag full of goodies??? i have always been the practical one in the family. i get you stuff that you need but don't get for yourself. my parents got emergency "go bags" last year. when they had to evacuate becuz of a fire a few years ago - they ran out without taking anything except a few papers. the go bag had clothes, underwear, toiletries, a flash drive for my dad to back up all the emergency info on, magazines, puzzle books, a spare wallet with a few bucks, first aid kit and a car charger for the cell phone. they can add other items that they think they might need.
