Coffees of Hawaii Review & Giveaway- 5/30 CLOSED

The defunct Del Monte pineapple town of Kualapuu is rising again -- only this time, coffee is the catch, not pineapple. Located in the foothills, Coffees of Hawaii has planted coffee beans on 600 acres of former pineapple land.

Coffees of Hawaii is the perfect combination of different varieties of coffee from different place of Hawaii islands.


I received 2 Moloka'i Blends: one is Malulani Estate A rich-bodied, medium roast coffee with a mild acidity, complemented with a luscious hint of chocolate. And the other one is Moloka'i Island Princess An arabica coffee flavored with premium Hawaiian-grown vanilla beans. I love both flavors. When I poured the first cup I felt like a kid at Christmas. The taste was spot on. Not too heavy, but a smooth finish put a smile on my face. The initial taste is quite bold but there is no acidic bitterness following it up. Instead, it mellows out with just bit of spice at the end. For my tastes it was pretty much perfect. It would only be better if I were drinking it in Hawaii watching the waves.
