The Story Of Bridgewater Candle Company

The Review
I was sent two beautiful candles to review. The first was their NEW Paradise Punch Large Jar Candle. It was packaged snuggly in a form-fitting Styrofoam cocoon. Once I took it out I could already smell the wonderful scent of the candle.

As you probably already know, I love the tropics and the beach so this candle was perfect for me. It was like experiencing a wonderful tropical fragrance explosion in my home with tones of dewey greens, tropical fruits and floral musk. It reminded me of mangos, palm trees and flowers all rolled into one great fragrance. I closed my eyes and thought I was in paradise on a beach in the Caribbean with a fruity umbrella drink in my hand! This is not an overpowering scent but a soft subtle fragrance that filled my house with scents of the tropics.

I love that their Jar Candles are a NATURAL SOY BLEND that is formulated for maximum fragrance and a burn time of 140-160 hrs for only $20.00.

Bridgewater Candle Company also participates in the Light A Candle Feed A ChildProgram . Every Bridgewater jar candle represents the life of a child. For each jar candle purchase that you make, Bridgewater will make a donation to Rice Bowls to feed a child for one day.

The second item I received for review was the special edition feed a child candle.
1 candle feeds 1 orphaned child for 1 week.

The story behind this candle is truly heartwarming, It brought tears to my eyes when I read it. When Frankie’s mother was pregnant with him in Port au Prince, Haiti She knew she was not likely to survive long after childbirth so she prepared a bag for her child with his belongings and a bottle of her used perfume. She wanted her young son, Frankie to remember how she smelled. Frankie’s adoptive family hopes this Special Edition fragrance inspired by the perfume, will bring awareness to the many orphans around the world.

The feed a child candle has a unique smell that is a combination of several scents “Bergamot, Lotus Petals, White Roses and Orange Flowers.” all blended into a Rich Seductive Base of Amber, Creamy Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Patchouli. I cannot describe the scent but it is truly beautiful. It is light and delicate with warm undertones the perfect reflection of a mother’s love.
