Alouette And Chavrie Cheeses Review & 24 hr. Giveaway ~Ended

I received a couple of FREE coupons for Alouette cheese and Chavrie cheese so armed with my sample coupons, I head over to the nearest grocery. I scoured the dairy isle that held the other cheese and was about to give up when I reached the end of the aisle and hadn’t found a single one. Disappointed, I was about to walk out until I spotted out of the corner of my eye, another section of cheeses near the deli. Apparently, the gourmet cheeses -- the good stuff -- don’t hang out with Kraft or Lucerne, they have a nice refrigerated display on their own. But im so crunched on time, taste testing and all plus i need to post this giveaway as fast as i can, i just grabbed 2 cheeses that were most appealing to my eyes.

First i tried the Alouette Sundried Tomato and Basil Soft Spreadable Cheese, the cheese is soft and spreadable directly from the refrigerator. The cheese can also be heated in the microwave, to make a hot cheese spread. The inner wrapper of the cheese package contains a recipe for Alouette Mediterranean Bruschetta. I enjoyed the flavor and consistency of the cheese, and tried it on a number of different crackers.

The spreadables are also good with a variety of raw vegetables, such as carrots, bell peppers and celery. Try using a spoonful of the spreadable cheese on top of burgers or grilled chicken or fish. I bet the cheese spread would also taste great on top of a baked potato. Yummy!



Next stop is Chavrie Cheese A favorite with first time goat users, its fresh mild flavor and creamy texture makes it ideal to spread on a cracker. Chavrie pyramids are perfect for casual entertaining or everyday snacking. It’s also available in Original (log & pyramid) and Basil & Roasted Garlic (pyramid) flavors. The Chavrie Log had a surprisingly creamy texture which was very easy to spread on the cracker. It has a strong cheese flavor but I was able to detect the herb flavor in it.
