It is summer and that means salads and BBQ are abound. I love grilling anything! and I also love a delicious, crunchy salad using fresh produce I find from the local farmer’s markets to go with grilled food. What makes a bowl of local gorgeous produce even tastier? A fresh salad dressing whipped up from scratch. It is way better than anything you can buy in a bottle and most of the time you’ll have all the ingredients laying around in your fridge or pantry! Here are a few of my favorites.

Balsamic Grilled Pork Chops

6-8 boneless loin chops
1/4 cup Nakano Balsamic Blend Seasoned Rice Vinegar
1/4 cup olive or vegetable oil
2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. World Harbors Maine's Own Lemon Pepper & Garlic Marinade

Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag.
Stir together the rice vinegar, oil, honey and Lemon Pepper & Garlic marinade. Pour this mixture over the pork chops. Let the chops swim in it for about an hour in the refrigerator and its ready for grilling!

You can also try this quick and easy dressing for any green tossed salad with tomatoes fresh from your garden will give this salad a summer fresh taste!

Spicy Mustard Vinaigrette

1/2 cup Holland House White Wine Vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared Dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 cup Extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil
4 drops hot sauce

Whisk together the vinegar, mustard, pepper, salt, garlic, oil and hot sauce until thoroughly combined. Chill until serving.
