Make your own Hair Detangler Spray
Mix 1-2 tsps of Conditioner with 8-10oz of Water in a Spray Bottle.
You can pick up a spray bottle at most Dollar Trees, and you can get Suave Conditioner for around $1-$2.
1 Bottle of Conditioner will last you about 20 refills which is big savings. Most detanglers cost around $3 a bottle and you will end up paying $60 plus tax for 20 bottles over time. Or you can make this simple mix for around $2 (every 20 bottles) that works just as good and saves a ton.

This might even work good on the horse's tail and mane! Huge savings! Thanks, Patty!

Re: Make your own Hair Detangler Spray
I just made some. Had to guess a little. I got the Suave conditioner for $1.74. Sometimes, our local grocery has that type of thing for a buck, and of course, like you said, you can get it at Dollar Tree. Love that store!
I might have put too much in. Should have mixed it with warm water, because the conditioner didn't totally blend. Maybe I'll mix up another batch.
I'm going to try it tomorrow on the horse. I'll let you know how it works. His mane and tail are really coarse. He'll smell good, if nothing else!

Re: Make your own Hair Detangler Spray
Well, when I got out there, he was a mess! He had sand on top of sand, wet, and his mane and tail were dirty and tangled beyond belief. I've never seen it that bad. He must have been rolling in the wet dirt before I got there. I tried the homemade detangler on him, and it worked pretty good! I still used a little Showsheen on him, too. Like I said, he has a real coarse mane and tail, and they were terrible today! I think maybe on a "good" day, it might work better. It was raining and the humidity was awful, so it took it a while to dry, too. Heck, I should have used it on myself when I got home and took a shower and washed my hair. I forgot! DER!
Thanks again, Patty. We need to hear more testimonials, now.

Re: Make your own Hair Detangler Spray
Just want you to know, I was back at the ranch again today, and the horse's mane and tail were easy to comb through. HMmmmm....could it be the homemade detangler? I bet! His coat was still silky (dirty, but silky) feeling, as well.

Well, here I am again. Saw my boy again today, and his mane and tail were still beautiful.
