BodyMedia Fit Wireless Link Armband

Post by Scatter_Brain on Fri Feb 08, 2013 11:11 am

Trying to lose weight can be a very daunting task. Keeping track of how many calories you burn in a day, tracking your exercise and your nutrition can really make losing weight difficult and overwhelming. It's a lot to have to think about and with most of us having busy schedules and hectic lives, it's sometimes really hard to find the time to keep track of everything. I have found a wonderful tool that tracks everything for us! It's called BodyMedia Fit Wireless Link Armband. This armband is very lightweight, so lightweight that I don't really remember that it's on my arm. You can wear it all day, the manual recommends wearing it no more than 23 hours per day. It's not waterproof, so I take it off when I take a shower and leave it off for an hour, then put it back on. BodyMedia FIT is an on-body monitoring system that consists of the BodyMedia FIT Armband monitor, online Activity Manager and free downloadable apps for mobile device users. BodyMedia FIT Armbands automatically track the calories burned during your daily activities. It collects over 5,000 data points about you every minute. That's serious data. The armband works as a fitness monitor to measure the intensity of your workouts and also monitors the quality of your sleep, an important factor in weight loss. The information tracked can easily be managed with BodyMedia's online Activity Manager. Just add in the easy-to-use food log and you have the right information to improve your weight loss. The unit comes with the armband, monitor, USB cord and directions. It's super easy to set up and the LINK also connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone so you can keep track on the go. With the LINK armband, you can view your Dashboard with near real-time caloric burn and activity data and can create personalized workouts based upon caloric, activity or step goals. And the LINK apps power you through your workout with tunes from your phone.

The contestants on The Biggest Loser have used BodyMedia technology to help lose weight, stay active, and put them on the path to a healthier life. The BodyMedia FIT armband really is a wonderful tool to assist with weight loss or to maintain your weight and help you stay healthy.

As you can tell from these pictures, there is a TON of data collected and displayed for you, making it soo much easier to see where you need to make adjustments such as moving more to reach your calories burned goal for the day, adjust your menu to make sure you stay within your allowed calories consumed goal, it shows you your calorie balance for the day, steps taken and sleep duration. It amazes me how many times I wake up during the night and don't even realize it. The sleep duration graph shows me every time that I wake up and for how long I was awake before falling back to sleep. The data that this armband collects and the accuracy it has is just astonishing!

This armband has made me so much more aware of everything I eat and do. Now that I am able to see everything I do or don't do, I can now change it. I have my armband synced to my Android so I can check my stats anytime. I love being able to check my stats such as my steps taken for the day and being able to see that I still have X amount of steps to go before reaching my daily goal. If I see that I am falling behind, I just up my movement to make sure I get those steps in. It's as simple as that. It also breaks down your nutrition for the day as well. So, I can see what my nutrition is made up of by percentages. If I see that I am eating a lot of carbs or sodium, then I can alter that the next day and not take in so much of those.

This really is an amazing tool and I can't recommend the BodyMedia Fit Armband enough to anyone who is looking to lose weight or just maintain their weight. You can connect with BodyMedia on their website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest.
